Biography
Few figures in the Void Realm command as much reverence and mystery as Tek Milama, the ancient Chief of the Baskarians. Those who have encountered him describe a small, weathered man with silver-white hair that seems to float as if suspended in water, and eyes that shift between obsidian black and starlight silver.
Despite his advanced age—some whisper he has lived for over three centuries—Milama moves with the fluid grace of a much younger man. He adorns himself simply, wearing the traditional indigo robes of the Baskarian people, marked only by the ancient runes that spiral down his sleeves, pulsing faintly with each use of his formidable but mysterious magic.
As Chief, Milama is known for his peculiar method of leadership: he answers questions with questions, leading his people to discover their own wisdom rather than simply dispensing it. The Baskarians say he can answer any query posed to him, though his responses often reveal truths far deeper than what was asked. In council meetings, he sits in contemplative silence more often than he speaks, but when he does, even the wind seems to still itself to listen.
His true power remained largely unknown until the day when the Dark Avatar's ship emerged from the Flow to assault Baskar Isle. Witnesses describe how Milama stood alone near the edge of the isle, his robes undisturbed by an onslaught of Shadownfiend demons. With a series of graceful gestures, he commanded a mysterious power, weaving it into a devastating force that sheared through the Dark Avatar's troops, eliminating half the invasion force in mere moments. Even more remarkably, he managed to wound the Dark Avatar himself—a feat previously thought impossible—forcing the would-be conqueror to retreat into the depths of the Void Realm.
Yet for all his power, Milama is known to spend his private hours tending to the ancient trees near the Cave of Isk, seemingly more at peace among their luminescent leaves than in his ceremonial chambers. He teaches that true strength lies not in the ability to destroy, but in knowing when to show mercy—a philosophy that has helped maintain balance in the tumultuous Void Realm for generations.
