Future Solaris

In Future Solaris, the planet itself has undergone a dramatic transformation. The continents have shifted, the Skyhold Mountains have eroded into plains, and the Endless Plains now lie submerged beneath a vast ocean. The Darkmire Swamp has dried into an arid desert, while the Hinterlands and Wildlands have merged into a single, sprawling wilderness. All traces of known civilizations have vanished, leaving only scattered ruins. The world is now a verdant paradise, teeming with lush plant life, but the Grovekin are nowhere to be found. In the sky above, a battered Arc Station hangs precariously in orbit, surrounded by a halo of debris that tells a silent tale of catastrophe.

Notable Locations

Future Desert
Where the ancient Kazarial Desert once stretched, a new wasteland has emerged, transformed by millennia of geological upheaval. Crystalline dunes of iridescent sand shift and flow like liquid mercury, while ancient nanomachines dance like mirages in the superheated air. Yet amidst this alien landscape, Builder Temple Alpha remains unchanging - a monument of impossible permanence in an ever-transforming world. The temple stands exactly as it did tens of thousands of years ago, its portal chamber still operational, its walls still pristine, defying both time and the laws of entropy. Future civilizations have built and crumbled around it, leaving behind only fragments of their existence, while the temple endures as if it were anchored to reality itself.

Ruins of Solaris City
The Ruins of Solaris City, once a marvel of Solarian engineering and a beacon of civilization, now lie shattered and broken. The city, which once floated majestically above the clouds, was brought crashing down during the devastating Neolarian attack. Despite its advanced technology and the ingenuity of its people, Solaris City could not withstand the overwhelming force of the invaders. Over the centuries, the ruins have been ravaged by time and the elements, reducing much of the city to rubble. Though easily accessible, little remains of the grandeur that Elyndrians may remember. Yet, amidst the wreckage, treasures and remnants of the city's past may still lie hidden, waiting to be unearthed.

Ruins of the Mothership
To the distant south, the skeletal remains of the Neolarian Mothership scar the landscape. This colossal vessel, dwarfing even Solaris City in its prime, met its demise when a desperate Elyndrian act of sabotage triggered a catastrophic chain reaction. Now, little more than a fragmented husk, the Mothership's twisted metal skeleton still protrudes from the earth, visible for thousands of miles. It serves as a stark reminder of the destructive power that once threatened to consume Solaris and the sacrifices made to ensure its survival.
