Citadel of Skulls
The Hall of Trophies
A vast hall filled with the trophies of
past battles, including weapons, armor, and the preserved heads of slain
enemies. Each trophy is a testament to the martial prowess of the
Ardanian clans, and the hall serves as a constant reminder of their
bloody history.
The Pit of Trials
A deep pit located beneath the citadel,
where warriors prove their strength and skill in ritual combat. The pit
is lined with sharpened stakes and filled with the bones of those who
have fallen in battle. Only the strongest and most cunning warriors
survive the trials of the pit.
The War Council Chamber
A circular chamber lined with the
skulls of fallen warriors, where tribal leaders gather to discuss
matters of war and peace. The chamber is dimly lit by torches, and the
air is heavy with the weight of centuries of bloodshed. The walls are
adorned with battle banners and maps of past campaigns, and the floor is
covered in intricate mosaics depicting scenes of carnage.
Throne of Rime and Bone
A massive throne carved from the
skull of an ancient frost giant sits in the center of the citadel's main
hall, the Hall of Chiefs. It is the seat of power for the High
Chieftain, the leader of the Ardanian clans. The throne is adorned with
intricate carvings depicting scenes of battle and conquest, and it is
said to be infused with the spirits of past chieftains.
