Volcanic Plains
The Sulfur Pits
These bubbling pits of molten sulfur emit
noxious fumes that choke the air. The ground around them is stained a
sickly yellow, and the heat radiating from them is intense enough to
melt flesh.
The Obsidian Citadel
This imposing fortress, built from
black volcanic glass, is the stronghold of the fire giants. Its walls
are adorned with intricate carvings depicting their fiery god, and its
towers belch smoke and ash into the sky.
The Lava River
This wide river of molten rock flows across
the volcanic plains, its fiery currents carving deep channels into the
frozen earth. The heat from the river creates a perpetual haze,
obscuring the surrounding landscape.
The Geyser Fields
These vast fields are dotted with hundreds
of geysers, their eruptions sending plumes of scalding water high into
the air. The ground around the geysers is treacherous, with thin crusts
of cooled mud concealing pools of boiling water.
