Attribute Guide

Stat attributes are a staple of any role-playing game. This section explains each stat attribute and what it does.

Agility Score

Agility is a measurement of a character's nimbleness. It directly influences a character's Ranged Power as well as his Dodge Rating. A character with high agility is quick on his feet and less likely to take damage from his enemies.

Intelligence Score

Intelligence is a measurement of a character's mental capacity. It directly influences a character's Magic Power as well as his Resist Rating. Those with a high intelligence score usually have a heightened ability to cast spells and control the magical forces.

Strength Score

Strength is a measurement of a character's physical capability. It directly influences a character's Melee Power as well as his Deflect Rating. Those with a high strength score usually have a impressive physical ability and hit like a truck with melee attacks.

Vitality Score

Vitality is a measurement of a character's overall endurance. It directly influences a character's Health Points as well as his Armor Rating. Those with a high vitality score are capable of absorbing enormous amounts of damage and taking an incredible beating.

Dodge Rating

Dodge rating determines how likely a character is to avoid an attack from his opponent. Dodging is the act of physically moving out of the way of an attack, whether it be ranged, physical or magical. A successful dodge completely negates damage from an enemy attack. Dodge is heavily influenced by a characters agility score and class choice. This stat is capped at 70%.

Resist Rating

Resist rating reduces magical damage received. The higher a character's Magical Resist is, the less magical damage he will sustain from spells and magical forces. This stat is important when facing off against caster-type characters. Resist is heavily influenced by a characters intelligence score and relic quality. This stat is capped at 70%.

Deflect Rating

Deflect rating includes either blocking or parrying an attack from an opponent. Unlike a dodge, which is avoiding damage entirely, deflection is a character's likelihood of either blocking damage with a shield or parrying it away from him with a weapon. This could technically avoid damage entirely as well. Deflect is heavily influenced by a characters strength score and weapon quality. This stat is capped at 70%.

Armor Rating

Armor rating reduces melee and ranged damage received. The higher a character's Armor Rating is, the less physical damage he will sustain from non-magical attacks. This stat is important when facing off against ranged and fighter-type characters. Armor is heavily influenced by a characters vitality score, armor and shield quality. This stat is capped at 70%.

Thrown Damage

Thrown damage determines how much damage a character does with a thrown object, such as a stone. It is determined by a character's agility score. This stat scales with experience.

Magic Damage

Magic damage determines how much magical damage a character does without his relic. It is determined by a character's intelligence score. This stat scales with experience.

Melee Damage

Melee damage determines how much melee damage a character does with a physical blow, such as a kick, punch, or headbutt. It is determined by a character's strength score. This stat scales with experience.

Stamina Score

Stamina is a measurement of a character's overall physical endurance during vigorous activity such as a combat situation, physical competition, running, climbinb, swimming, or anything else of that nature. It is determined by a character's vitality score. This stat scales with experience.

Ranged Damage

Ranged damage determines how much damage a character does with a ranged weapon, such as a bow and arrow. It is determined by a characters agility score coupled with the quality of his ranged weapon. This stat scales with experience.

Relic Damage

Relic damage determines how much damage a character does with a relic, such as a magical artifact, accessory, wand or focus. It is determined by a characters intelligence score coupled with the quality of his magical relic. This stat scales with experience.

Weapon Damage

Weapon damage determines how much damage a character does with a weapon attack, such as using a sword, dagger, maul, etc. It is determined by a characters strength score coupled with the quality of his melee weapon. This stat scales with experience.

Health Points

Health points are perhaps the easiest of all the combat stats to understand. The higher a character's HP is, the better. When his HP reaches zero, he's dead! This stat scales with experience points and is determine by vitality.
