Hinterfall Jungle

The northernmost expanse of the continent consists almost entirely of Hinterfall Jungle, the world's thickest, most diverse rainforest stretching north of the Darkmire Swamp. Its northern portion is sometimes colloquially referred to as the Hinterlands. Once home to the Grovekin, the region was forcefully taken by the Black Empire before falling under General Raynar's control.

The region features thick green forest and jungle teeming with wildlife. Animals and creatures here are notably larger than their counterparts in other regions of planet Solaris, creating additional challenges for travelers and settlers alike.

Notable Locations

Korbgrad City
Located inside Dragon Roost Fortress (formerly Balthazar's Fortress), this city is ruled by Raynar Dragonbane and divided into four districts: two residential areas, the Temple District, and the Market and Labor District. The residential districts are positioned closest to the Black Empire for potential evacuation if needed.

The Ancient Treetops
A vast network of interconnected platforms, bridges, and dwellings built atop the canopy of Hinterfall's oldest trees, once home to an advanced Grovekin civilization. These abandoned structures, which seamlessly integrate with living trees, now stand weathered and overgrown with vines and moss, containing artifacts and secrets of their former inhabitants.

Mist Valley
A mysterious lowland deep within the jungle where perpetual mist obscures visibility beyond a few yards. Created by hot springs and cold air currents, this dense fog has preserved a unique ecosystem for millennia. Giant phosphorescent plants provide eerie illumination, while strange creatures found nowhere else have evolved in isolation.
